JANUARY 2024

We continue to invest in Industry 4.0, where product quality, environmental sustainability and the well-being of Human Capital are the real priorities.

The new automatic coating booth was installed at Ocrim's historical site in Via Massarotti. The machine replaces the previous manual version and is equipped with six reciprocators. This is a very innovative system, due to its high standards linked to sustainability and its use, which provides greater protection for the operator.

Operation
The components enter the coating booth hanging on hooks, the speed of which is adjusted remotely from a PLC that pulls them along the entire route.
The system is completed by a static 'forced convection' type oven with cross recirculation, also controlled by PLC, to cure the components in about two hours, at a temperature between 160 °C and 200 °C.

Advantages
Powder coatings are known for their exceptional durability and weather resistance, providing reliable protection over time. This translates into a longer service life for the products we offer our customers. In addition, the use of powder instead of paint as a primer results in significant energy savings and a lower environmental impact, due to the lack of liquid paints which contain a large amount of solvent. This special type of coating also limits skin irritation and difficulties in breathing and vision for operators.

Thanks to the new coating booth, we are consolidating our commitment to innovation and quality, offering increasingly high-performance and environmentally friendly products. We are excited to introduce these improvements in our production processes and to continue to meet our customers' needs with advanced and sustainable solutions.

Ethologist and anthropologist Jane Goodall states that “You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”. For us at Ocrim, protecting the environment and, therefore, caring for staff are and will always be important reasons to invest in order to 'make a difference'.
